Diamond Shape Guide

Find the Shape That's Yours

Shape is the first thing anyone notices about a diamond, and the most personal decision you will make. Amorelle offers seven, each with its own character. Here is how they differ, and how to work out which one is yours.

There Is No Best Shape

A diamond's shape sets its outline, its proportions and the way it catches light. A round brilliant is cut for maximum sparkle; an emerald cut is built for clean lines and clarity; a marquise is made to look as large as possible for its weight. None of these is better than the others, they are simply different intentions.

The right shape is the one that suits your style, your hand and the setting you have in mind. Take your time with the seven below.

Ready to Choose Your Diamond?

Shape decides how your diamond looks. The 4Cs decide how it performs. Once you know which outline you are drawn to, the next step is understanding cut, color, clarity and carat, and what an IGI report actually tells you.
